We are sure that you will love your chimenea and accessories but if you change your mind the following regulations give consumers and sellers certain rights and protection when they shop for goods 'at a distance':

Distance Selling Regulations 2000

Under the Distance Selling Regulations as set out by the Office of Fair Trading, UK customers have the right to cancel their order at any time from placing the order until seven working days after the customer receives the order. This does not apply to items that have been made to your specification or cost of carriage.

To conform with the Regulations a customer who wishes to cancel an order must notify us in writing (by 1st class post), fax or e-mail. A telephone call is not sufficient:

You must return the goods to us at your expense, in the original condition and packaging. Please note that we cannot be held liable for any damage during transit from you, therefore we recommend that you insure the goods (most couriers offer a standard insurance included in the cost of shipping so you just need to ensure that it covers the cost of the item you are returning). If we receive damaged goods we will not be able to refund the cost of the goods to you. Providing that the goods are received in good condition we will refund the cost of the goods within 30 days by the original payment method.

When we receive your written cancellation notice we will contact you regarding the return of the goods.

This does not affect your statutory rights.

Guarantees

Our chimeneas and accessories are designed by us and made exclusively for us. They are intended for use under exacting conditions. Minor or superficial blemishes, colour or surface changes, hairline fissures and general wear and tear are deemed to be naturally occurring features for products made specifically for use predominantly in an outdoor living environment.

For the purposes of our guarantee, ‘structural failure’ is defined as the disintegration or degradation of the product to such a degree that it can no longer be used for its intended purpose. Accidental or storm damage is not covered under our guarantee. Many household insurance policies can, however, provide such cover.

The following guarantees are valid only if the product is used in accordance with our company’s instructions, which are provided with each product at the time of sale, and which can also be found in The Chimenea Cook Book and User’s Guide. If you have lost the instructions, please call or email our office on the numbers below for a free replacement copy.

1. All SUPERCHIMS carry a two-year guarantee against structural failure.

2. Deluxe chimeneas as well as all of our accessories are guaranteed for one year against structural failure. Changes in surface paint effects and other changes to the colour of the clay will not affect the performance of the product, and are not covered by the guarantee.

"Structural Failure" - our company's definition: The disintegration or degradation of the structural make-up of the chimenea, accessory or cookware becoming so poor that it threatens the performance and safety of the product and prevents it being used for the purpose for which it was intended. Minor or superficial blemishes, colour or surface changes (unless where stated otherwise), hairline fissures and general wear and tear are deemed to be naturally occurring features for products made specifically for use in an outdoor living environment.
