About Us
Our involvement with Chimeneas
started many years ago and through our knowledge and experience we now sell our own chimeneas which we fairly trade from Mexico (it's the only place to get them from!). Not only does the
design of our chimeneas set us apart from others available but they
have superior quality painting techniques and sealants. You will always receive a lid and a stand with all of our chims, we think a chim just doesn't look finished without it's hat (lid). Some retailers have turned to China to produce their chimeneas but in our experience the clay is inferior to Mexican clay and they are not fired to high enough temperatures therefore making them liable to crack even from a moderate fire. Unfortunately Chinese chimeneas have given the clay chimenea a bad reputation but as long as you buy Mexican, use it properly and protect it from icy weather then you will have many years of enjoyment from it.
We have also extended our range to include Mexican Artisan handmade products. Our full range can be seen at our warehouse in Pontyclun, South Wales, and we try to take a large range to the garden shows we attend throughout the UK. Most of these products are now available on our website.
Before our involvement with
chimeneas our background comes from another garden product, Canadian
Muskoka Chairs sold under the company name Francis Bay.
We founded Francis Bay and were the first company to bring Muskoka Chairs
to the UK from Canada. We researched the market of Muskoka/Adirondack
chairs to find the most comfortable and only when we felt we'd found
the right one did we start Francis Bay. Our Muskoka chairs work so well
alongside the chimeneas as you are able to enjoy them outside during
